Washington Unified School District (WUSD) is partnering with Healthy Yolo Together, a project of UC Davis, to offer FREE, saliva-based PCR Testing to students and staff beginning August 9^th.

For anyone who is not yet vaccinated, it is very important to get tested regularly. If you have symptoms or have been exposed to someone with COVID-19, get tested—even if you are vaccinated. While the risk is fairly low, it is possible to get infected if you are vaccinated. Testing helps limit the spread of COVID-19 in our schools and keeps our students, staff, families, and community safe.

WHY: People in West Sacramento—including young people—continue to test positive, most often with one of the highly contagious COVID-19 variants. The implementation of PCR testing adds another layer of early intervention and prevention to keep our staff, students, and community healthy. Testing is quick, painless, and free, and it’s available at school sites throughout our district.  

WHO: Each testing location is open to all WUSD students and staff, regardless of your home school.

WHEN & WHERE: Testing is available at the following locations and times:

HOW: We encourage you to register your student for testing by following these steps:

Step 1:  Go to http://healthydavistogether.org/testing/ 

• Staff and Faculty will use agency code: WASHINGTON

• Families and Parents will use agency code: davis

Step 2:  Follow these steps to register your child: 

1. Parent signs up for an HYT account. 

2. Click on “Dependents” on the left menu. 

3. Click “Add a New Dependent.” 

4. Fill out minor’s information (Leave email and phone blank unless you want to input your child’s information). 

5. Click “I agree” and submit.  This will create your student’s profile. 

6. Once you see your student’s name, click ‘Launch.” 

7. Click on “Medical Clearances” on the left. 

8. Click on the green “Update” box. 

9. Complete the HYT waiver and submit.
